Job summary

Smalley-Steel-Rin in Lake Zurich, IL is seeking a Production/Shipping associate to inspect and package products to customer specs, complete orders with nonstandard requirements, and operate necessary scales and equipment. You will document activities, participate in cross-department work, and maintain high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or related environment.
• Proven experience in Production/Shipping/Warehousing.
• Solid understanding of packing/shipping terminology and required paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and packages products per customer specifications and direct instructions.
• Completes packaging assignments for orders with nonstandard requirements.
• Operates scales/equipment related to the process.
• Completes required paperwork/system input for each product.
• Participates in cross-department work production as needed.
• Upholds defined quality standards to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Keeps workspace clean and organized following 6S principles.
• Communicates clearly with teammates and supervisors.
