Smalley is a global manufacturing leader known for precision metal formed products. We are seeking an experienced Inspection/Quality Leader to manage teams across shifts, drive continuous improvement, and ensure calibration and measurement accuracy in a high-performance environment.

The role focuses on Lean initiatives, Kaizen events, and advanced measurement equipment, with collaboration across automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Greenbelt certification with extensive experience in SPC implementation.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing measurement and load machine equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Lean methodologies and continuous improvement experience.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Manage inspection team across 3 shifts to ensure high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Train and mentor inspection staff on best practices and new technologies.
• Implement and manage state-of-the-art measurement and load machine equipment.
• Develop and refine measurement protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Utilize Lean methodologies to improve processes and reduce waste.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen events.
• Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain the calibration program and tracking of all tools and gages, including addition of new equipment and replacement of equipment.

Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
