Job summary

Smalley is seeking a detail-oriented warehouse/stockroom associate to support gauges and measuring tools in a manufacturing environment. You will identify shortages, assign gauges, and keep accurate inventory records while following tool-room procedures.

The role requires reading drawings, handling hand and measuring tools, and maintaining safe storage practices in a fast-paced facility in Lake Zurich, IL. High school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to read drawings and use hand and measuring tools.
• Familiarity with gauges, gauge storage, and basic tool-room terminology.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports shortages, damaged, or lost gauges.
• Assigns or checks out gauges as needed; checks in and stores incoming gauges.
• Completes physical inventory counts; reports shortages and reorders stock.
• Ensures all gauges and tools are stored safely; adheres to tool-room procedures.
