Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Middletown, CT facility is seeking a Production Machinist for the 3rd shift to set up and operate machine tools and process equipment to produce precision turbine engine parts. You will follow drawings, use measuring instruments and perform finishing operations to ensure dimensional accuracy.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with machining experience; 1–3 years’ experience is preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 6 months of machining experience.
• Prefer 1–3 years of machining experience.
• Ability to read instructions, drawings and operate various machine tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate one machine tool or process equipment type and related equipment.
• Perform machining, deburring, blending, trimming and fitting to produce precision turbine engine parts.
• Inspect dimensions using measuring instruments and store information in computer-based systems.
