Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Middletown, CT is seeking a Production Machinist for the 3rd shift. You will set up and operate machine tools to produce precision turbine engine parts, following drawings and procedures. Responsibilities include deburring, finishing, drilling, riveting, bonding, marking and cleaning operations.

Minimum high school diploma or GED with machining experience is required, with 1–3 years preferred. The role offers onsite work and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 6 months of machining experience.
• 1-3 years of machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate one machine tool or process type, and multiple tools within an area to produce precision turbine engine parts.
• Follow verbal/written instructions, operation sheets, drawings and other pertinent information.
• Identify dull/damaged cutting tools and replace as needed.
• Perform bench, assembly and surface finishing operations (deburring, blending, trimming).
• Drill, rivet and bond to assemble parts and complete finished components.
• Operate part-marking equipment and use various media for cleaning and surface conditioning.
