Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Middletown, CT is seeking a Production Machinist for the 3rd shift (approximately 11pm–7am). You will operate manual and NC machines to produce precision parts, perform deburring, surface finishing, and assembly operations per drawings and specs.

Training and certifications may be required within the assigned area. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with machining experience; 1–3 years preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 6 months of machining experience.
• 1-3 years of machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual or NC machine tools (milling, boring, grinding, turning, broaching, shaping) to meet part specs.
• Read operation sheets, drawings and instructions; follow procedures and use measuring instruments to check dimensions.
• Perform deburring, blending, trimming and fitting; assemble details and apply coatings as required.
• Maintain and service equipment; ensure safeties, cleanliness and quality records are kept.
