Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Middletown, CT is seeking a Production Machinist for the 3rd shift (Mon–Fri, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM). You will operate NC/manual machines to meet dimensional specs and follow written instructions.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of machining experience; 1–3 years of machining experience preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and more, with 401(k) match and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 6 months of machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow verbal instructions, operation sheets and drawings to set up and operate machines.
• Use manual or NC milling, boring, grinding, turning, broaching and shaping tools to meet specs.
• Identify dull or damaged cutting tools and replace as needed.
• Perform bench, assembly, deburring, blending, trimming and fitting operations.
• Drill, rivet and bond to assemble parts per procedures.
• Operate part-marking equipment and measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
• Record data in computer-based systems and maintain work records.
• Train for and obtain licenses or certifications as required.
