Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Middletown, CT facility is seeking a Production Machinist on first shift. You will set up and operate one or more machine tools to produce precision turbine engine parts, following established methods and using proper tooling and fixturing.

You will read drawings, follow instructions, measure parts with gauges, and ensure dimensions meet specifications. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 0.5–3 years machining experience; internal candidates given priority

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 6 months machining experience required; 1–3 years preferred.
• Internal candidates under Bargaining Unit priority may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate one or more machine tools to produce precision turbine engine parts.
• Follow verbal/written instructions, drawings and operation sheets.
• Use gauges and measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain tools, fixtures and equipment and ensure proper setup.
• Adhere to safety, quality and productivity standards.
