Job summary

SPS Companies, Inc. is seeking a Processing Specialist for the Kansas City Service Center to operate on the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., Monday-Friday). You will process steel by bending or cutting with lasers and saws, then inspect, clean, and load parts for shipment.

Eligible candidates must have a valid driver’s license, be 18+, and demonstrate basic math and reading skills. The role offers substantial benefits, potential overtime, and a strong safety culture in a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills.
• Basic literacy for reading instructions and using hand tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of measurement tools like micrometers and tape measures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive material (steel) and turn it into parts by bending or cutting with lasers and/or saws.
• Inspect, clean, and load finished parts onto trucks for shipment.
• Maintain safety standards and follow safety policies.
