Steel and Pipe Supply Kansas City Service Center seeks a Processing Specialist for the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.). You will receive steel, bend or cut it to customer specifications using lasers or saws, then clean, inspect and load parts for shipment.

The role is hands-on and fast-paced, with exposure to machinery, dirt, and changing conditions. Minimums include 18+ years, a valid license, basic math, reading and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Reading instructions and using hand tools requires basic literacy.
• Basic computer skills needed for job tasks.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Receive steel material and turn it into customer parts by bending or cutting with lasers or saws.

What is aProcessingSpecialist?

ProcessingSpecialistsreceivematerial(steel)andturn it intoparts that our customers order by bending or cutting it withlasers and/or saws before cleaning it, inspecting it,and loading iton trucksto be shipped to the customer. This position helps the company create a culture of safety by following all safety policies and safe work practices.

What can you expect from the job?

• 3rd shift – 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., Monday-Friday
• Exposure to the elements
• Dirtyworking conditions
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical or machinery parts
• Moderately stressfulandconstantly changingwork environment
• Lots ofwalking and standing–up to 8 hours a day
• Frequent lifting, pushing,or pullingof materialup to 51lbs.

What are the requirements?

• Valid driver’s license
• 18+ years old
• Basic math skills
• Basic literacy for reading instructions and using hand tools

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay of $20.00 an hour plus $3.50 shift differential
• Quarterly profit sharing bonus opportunity
