Electrical Automation Services is seeking a skilled automation technician for an on-site role in West Chicago, IL. The position requires hands-on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of PLCs, servo systems, and related control wiring, with a focus on analog/digital controls and 3-phase power distribution.

You will program PLCs and HMIs, modify ladder logic, and diagnose communication protocols across industrial networks.

Formación

Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and maintain control wiring.
Familiarity with 480V, 3-phase power distribution systems and motors.
Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of automation equipment.
Knowledge of safety procedures (lockout/tagout, PPE) preferred.

Responsabilidades

Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules, and control wiring.
Provide troubleshooting for analog and digital controls and drive systems (VFDs, servo drives, soft starts).
Maintain and troubleshoot encoders, load cells, and position feedback devices.
Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces; modify ladder logic as needed.
Diagnose communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet) and electrical schematics; perform preventative maintenance on conveyors and production equipment.
