Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in St. Charles, IL is seeking a skilled technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, VFDs, servos, and HMIs.

You will work with 480V three-phase power, read electrical schematics, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and automation equipment. The role requires a High School Diploma and PLC experience; overtime, 10 paid holidays, PTO on start, and adjustments based on performance are offered.

Qualifications

Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems required.
Strong ability to troubleshoot analog and digital controls and motor drives.
Familiarity with lockout/tagout and safety procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and control wiring.
Troubleshoot analog and digital controls, 480V 3-phase systems, VFDs, servos and soft starts.
Program and modify PLC logic (ladder) and HMIs; diagnose communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
Read electrical schematics and perform preventive maintenance on lasers, conveyors and production equipment.
