Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in West Chicago, IL seeks a skilled technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, PLC I/O, and HMI interfaces on a 3rd shift. You will work with 480V 3-phase power, servo motors, VFDs, encoders, load cells, and laser-guided equipment in a hands-on manufacturing setting.
Applicants should have a high school diploma and PLC experience, with knowledge of electronics, safety procedures, and diagnostic tools.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Experience with servo systems and motor drives preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics and safety procedures (lockout/tagout).
Responsibilities
- Install, configure and troubleshoot PLC I/O and related control wiring.
- Troubleshoot analog and digital controls on 480V 3-phase systems.
- Program and modify PLC logic and HMI interfaces (ladder logic).
- Diagnose communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
- Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and production equipment.
