Job summary

Tyson Foods in Forest, MS is seeking a Maintenance Generalist to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems to keep plant operations efficient and safe.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, interpret manuals, and support equipment installations while adhering to Tyson policies. This full-time, third-shift role requires hands-on maintenance experience and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years.
• Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior.
• Applicants must also have completed at least 180 days since their last employment with Tyson.
• No Work Shift: 3RD SHIFT (United States of America).
• Relocation Assistance Eligible: No.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote Tyson’s safety culture.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
• Repair and replace motors, pumps, bearings, shafts, conveyors, augers, couplings, steam and water lines.
• Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and minor electrical repairs.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, forklifts, and other maintenance equipment as trained and certified.
• Support emergency repairs and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by maintenance leadership.
