Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Plant Lead to support daily plant operations and lead production employees to meet safety and quality standards.

This role balances hands‑on production with team coordination, training, and operational oversight to achieve production goals efficiently and safely. The Plant Lead will supervise staff, coordinate day‑to‑day operations across departments, conduct group meetings, assist in hiring, and ensure staff are fully trained.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of warehousing, material handling, and machining experience.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Prior machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions for work tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff on a limited basis and ensures training, system understanding, proper performance, and issue resolution.
• Oversees day-to-day operations for a plant functional area.
• Leads group meetings with staff.
• Assists in hiring processes and staff development.
• Ensures staff are fully trained for their roles.
• Mentors and coaches staff; provides performance feedback.
• Performs a broad range of production tasks and leads other staff as needed.
• Sets up, operates, monitors, and troubleshoots production equipment.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance and ensures equipment operates within specs.
• Monitors material levels and coordinates replenishment.
• Supports equipment changeovers and line setups.
• Measures parts with precision instruments to ensure specs.
