Job summary

Leidos in Arlington, VA is seeking an Operations Shift Lead for the 3rd shift (10PM to 6AM) to join the CESO effort on-site. The role drives incident triage, monitoring, and coordination across networks, systems, and vendors, ensuring SLA adherence and rapid recovery from outages.

You will mentor junior staff, produce incident reports, and participate in major incident reviews in a highly secure DoD environment, with a focus on reliability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 4+ years in Windows/Linux server environment.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• DoD 8750 IAT level II certification (e.g., Security+ ce) required.
• Willingness to work 24/7 shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Experience leading an operations team or senior escalation point.
• Strong communication and incident coordination skills.
• Proven decision-making under pressure during outages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate operations tasks during assigned shifts.
• Oversee monitoring of network, servers, apps, and infrastructure for outages and performance issues.
• Own incident triage, escalation, and resolution through closure.
• Coordinate with network, systems, security, application, and vendor teams.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, escalation procedures, and runbooks.
• Review alerts/incidents for trends and improvements.
• Conduct shift handovers and maintain operational documentation.
• Mentor staff during complex incidents.
• Prepare incident reports, shift summaries, and metrics.
• Participate in major incident management and post-incident reviews.
