Job summary

Stratas Foods in Nashville, TN is hiring for an entry-level Mixer I on the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.). Training may occur on 1st or 2nd shift; overtime and weekend work are required.

Responsibilities include learning mixing processes, operating equipment, and documenting production steps according to safety and quality standards. Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma and basic computer skills; previous mixing or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Related Experience: Mixing machine operation, blending, food industry, or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Qualification Requirement: Must successfully complete designated training and qualification requirements for assigned mixer systems.
• Equipment/Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge - data entry

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend mixers to combine a wide variety of food products such as edible oils, dressings, margarines, spreads, shortenings, cooking sherries, vinegars, cooking wines, etc.
• Monitor gauges, recording instruments, flow meters, and thermometers to adjust materials, temperatures, and speeds for product quality.
• Perform basic housekeeping, rework, and prepare packaging; document production steps.
• Fill out documentation regarding product movements, batch sheets, and ingredients addition.
• Learn and apply product specifications, process controls, quality standards, and food safety requirements.
• Develop proficiency in equipment setup, operation, cleaning, and documentation procedures.
