Job summary

Atrium Health Cleveland - Lab is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a 3rd shift, 7 nights on and 7 nights off. The role requires an associate degree and MLT registry eligibility, with ASCP/AMT options via military programs.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree or equivalent.
• MLT registry eligible or equivalent within one year of hire.
• MLT/ASCP/AMT certification through military programs acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures per QA guidelines.
• Prepares reagents and maintains supplies for tests; manages inventory to reduce waste.
• Uses clinical judgment to prioritize tests and resolve issues via appropriate channels.
• Reviews and revises procedures to comply with CAP, TJC, OSHA requirements.
• Maintains real-time communication with shift leadership about issues affecting patient care.
• Participates in meetings and projects to support department improvements.
