Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician for its Main Campus in Cleveland. The role involves performing and interpreting laboratory tests across complexity levels, with opportunities to work with leading researchers and healthcare professionals.

The position requires adherence to CLIA standards and strong documentation practices. The position offers a night shift (11:00pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays, and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a science‑related field or meets CLIA high complexity grandfathering clauses
• One or more of Microbiology, Immunohematology or other licenses
• Certification as MT/MLT/MLS from ASCP preferred and/or eligible

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, testing and reporting
• Maintain quality control knowledge and perform instrument calibrations and maintenance
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of results and records
• Perform proficiency testing in compliance with CLIA and document results
• Engage in continuing education and annual competency assessments
• Identify problems impacting test performance and escalate as needed
• Educate and train students, employees and residents in theory and lab techniques
