Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio seeks a Medical Lab Scientist or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) for the 2nd shift, 2pm–10:30pm with rotating weekends/holidays. Eligible applicants may receive a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 as part of the benefits package.

The role involves performing laboratory and phlebotomy testing, maintaining equipment, and reporting results accurately. AAS/ASCP credentialing and generalist capability across departments are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) is required.
• Generalist capable of working in all departments.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing and phlebotomy support.
• Maintain and monitor high-tech laboratory instrumentation.
