Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a Distribution Center Operations Leader in Huntsville, AL to manage daily operations, staffing, and performance for safe, efficient order fulfillment.

You will drive continuous improvements, oversee budget, and develop the team across cross-functional partners. You will lead efforts to ensure safety, quality, and productivity, analyzing processes and implementing data-driven changes while coordinating staffing and reporting across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in large-scale automated distribution, manufacturing, or operations environments with budget responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze processes, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvements using metrics.
• Experience managing safety programs and working knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance practices.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to drive performance, manage change, and sustain results through a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily department operations to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality order fulfillment aligned with performance goals.
• Lead efforts to achieve and sustain safety, quality, and productivity objectives within the distribution environment.
• Evaluate operational processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes based on data and performance analysis.
• Manage departmental budget, including labor, packaging, maintenance, and related operational expenses.
• Direct the preparation and analysis of reports on productivity, quality, safety, and process performance.
• Coordinate workforce planning with Group Leads, including scheduling, task assignments, training, and coverage for absences.
• Supervise employees in accordance with company policies, including performance management, coaching, and corrective actions.
• Establish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and career development support.
• Partner with Human Resources and staffing agencies to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Communicate operational goals, performance updates, and organizational initiatives across multiple levels of the organization.
• Facilitate team meetings and participate in cross-functional committees as a departmental representative.
