Job summary

Polaris Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama, seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to partner with manufacturing leaders on second and third shifts, leading employee relations, talent management, staffing, and leadership development across a large onsite production environment.

You will coach supervisors, oversee the off-shift HR team, monitor workforce metrics, ensure policy compliance, and drive engagement and workforce stabilization initiatives to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years in progressive HR roles, preferably in manufacturing/ops.
• Strong employee relations, investigations and risk mitigation experience.
• Experience coaching leaders and developing HR teams.
• Experience with workforce planning, high-volume staffing, and change.
• Proven credibility with leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and workforce metrics experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for second and third shift operations.
• Lead HR programs in employee relations, talent management, and staffing.
• Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations and policy interpretation.
• Oversee off-shift HR Generalists and support workforce planning & onboarding.
• Drive performance, succession planning, and employee development processes.
• Monitor absenteeism, turnover, and engagement; take corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and HR procedures.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence on compensation, benefits, and learning.
