Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Team Leader to oversee manufacturing operations, drive safety and quality improvements, and coach team members. You will ensure adherence to standard work, train staff, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes Lean and Operational Excellence, with responsibilities for TAKT attainment, training, and daily performance tracking. This is a full-time on-site position requiring strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must follow Leader Standard Work, Work Instructions, SOPs and OMS.
• Ability to use AS400, Excel and MS Word.
• Acquire and demonstrate an understanding of basic Lean and Operational excellence concepts.
• Must be adaptable to change, safety conscious, and have strong communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing procedures and other information.
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff, peers, customers and employees.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lead teams and individuals and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees follow safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate processes to achieve metrics for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Teach, coach and train team members; lead in Team Leader’s absence.
• Ensure team members are properly trained and cross-trained.
• Audit standard work; ensure PMs, PIPs and 5S audits are completed.
• Drive TAKT attainment using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance as needed.
• Record hourly production counts and identify repeat issues for root cause analysis.
• Interface with Maintenance and Engineering to provide solutions.
