Rich Products Corporation, based in Chicago Heights, IL, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 4th shift to perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and facilities. Duties include welding, reading manuals, and following safety practices in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of maintenance experience, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school graduate preferred.
• Three+ years in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• High degree of judgment required for this job.
• Knowledge of power and hand tools.
• Must lift 50 pounds.
• Must communicate professionally with all plant staff during training of new equipment.

Responsabilités

• Observe OSHA and facility safety rules and wear PPE.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and keep work area clean and orderly.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures.
• Ensure preventive maintenance on all plant equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform welding, cutting and soldering with electric and gas equipment.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.
• Duties may include pipe fitting, boiler making, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry and equipment installation.
