Job summary

Miniat in Chicago, IL seeks a Maintenance Mechanic EO for a 3rd shift to maintain production equipment, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and support safety culture.

The role requires 3–5 years of related maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and a Stationary Engineer’s license (Chicago) preferred; overtime and weekend work may be needed; union benefits apply after probation.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Stationary Engineer’s License; City of Chicago license preferred.
• Able to communicate with all levels of management and staff.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains production facility and equipment with a safety-minded approach.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains equipment to ensure safety and quality.
• Maintains plant machinery using electrical and mechanical skills.
• Supports electrical and mechanical maintenance of HV/AC, boilers, air compressors, and refrigeration systems.
• Fabricates repair parts by machining items to specification as necessary.
• Keeps a clean and safe work environment and complies with procedures.
