Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift

Wage: $28 - $35/hour

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 10:30pm - 7:00am (Monday-Friday)

Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities

1. Perform a variety of repair and construction operations to install, maintain, or modify machinery and auxiliary production equipment under general supervision.
2. Diagnose and remedy operating problems; disassemble, inspect, and overhaul injection molding machine components.
3. Assist higher classified Mechanics in correcting machine operating problems.
4. Consult with supervisors on repair needs and parts replacement.
5. Fit and align mechanisms, drives, bearings, etc.
6. Layout and install molding machines and equipment.
7. Assist contractors on major plant installations or expansions.
8. Use precision measuring instruments to check alignment, performance, and fit of parts.
9. Perform routine repairs under general supervision.
10. Handle critical or extensive repairs with guidance or supervision.

Requirements

1. Broad background in installation and maintenance of machines and process equipment.
2. Familiarity with hydraulics, heat, and electrical controls.
3. Additional schooling and training may be required.
4. Equivalent to 2-3 years of trade school training plus 1-3 years of related work experience.
