Job description

Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Wage: $28-$35/hour
Shift: 2nd & 3rd shift
Hours: 3:30pm to 12am

Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, conveyors, pumps, and packaging equipment
  2. Minimize downtime by addressing mechanical and electrical issues promptly
  3. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliable and efficient equipment performance
  4. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to upgrade and improve existing equipment and processes
  5. Install and commission new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
  6. Develop creative solutions to improve equipment performance and efficiency
  7. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, PLCs, and controls
  8. Maintain mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated machinery
  9. Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  10. Work with production and quality teams to meet operational requirements
  11. Assist in training operators and other team members on proper equipment use and maintenance
  12. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred
  2. Relevant certifications in electrical or mechanical disciplines are beneficial
  3. Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing or food processing environment
  4. Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical systems
  5. Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting is a plus
  6. Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated machinery
  7. Ability to interpret technical documents and schematics
  8. Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment
  9. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issues
  10. Flexibility to handle both immediate maintenance issues and long-term engineering projects
  11. Strong communication and teamwork skills
  12. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards
  13. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
