Job summary

ND Paper is seeking a Machine Assistant 2 for the Converting department. You will support the Operator and Machine Assistant 1 in setup, operation, and changeovers, serving as the main quality checkpoint during production runs and helping with minor adjustments.

The role requires basic reading of job tickets, math skills, and strong safety awareness. The position operates on the 3rd shift (10 PM–6 AM, Su-Thu) with occasional overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior manufacturing experience required; corrugated or packaging experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support operator and Machine Assistant 1 in setup, operation and changeovers.
• Act as primary quality check point during production runs and assist with minor adjustments.
• Safely operate the machine for short periods in the absence of Machine Assistant 1.
• Perform quality pulls and document results on the quality log per SOP.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and assist with end-of-shift cleanup and housekeeping.
