Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Loading Dock Lead to support daily Shipping and Receiving operations, ensuring USDA, HACCP, SSOP, and safety standards are met. You will help with setup, staffing, workflow coordination, and supervising responsibilities when supervisors are absent.

This role requires forklift and PIT operation certification, strong leadership, and the ability to manage team coverage in a fast-paced warehouse environment, including cold and loud conditions on third shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to make staffing and workflow decisions.
• Ability to follow food safety, quality assurance, and safety procedures.
• Must be licensed and qualified to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard trucks as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare the department for daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with USDA regulations, HACCP, SSOP, and safety standards.
• Monitor grading service checks and communicate quality concerns or errors to appropriate personnel.
• Assist in making staffing assignments based on attendance, product flow, and production requirements.
• Relieve production line personnel as needed.
• Fill in for absent employees when necessary.
• Perform wash-down and sanitation activities during scheduled breaks.
• Maintain department housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, yard trucks safely.
• Complete daily inspections of equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Recharge industrial equipment batteries according to established safety procedures.
• Support and promote a safe work environment.
• Serve as acting supervisor during supervisor absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
