Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Technician at our Devens, MA plant. The role focuses on keeping high-speed corrugated packaging equipment running per OEM standards, performing preventive and emergency maintenance, and collaborating with leadership, operators and vendors to maximize uptime.

Qualified candidates will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, reference manuals, apply precision maintenance, and train peers as needed.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems on high-speed industrial equipment.
• DC electrical controls troubleshooting and repair is a core skill.
• Reference equipment manuals accurately.
• Apply precision maintenance principles.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Operate forklifts, hoists and other heavy equipment as needed.
• Maintain maintenance work order systems.
• Update inventories and work instructions using computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Provide electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for the corrugated packaging facility.
• Perform emergency breakdown maintenance as needed to support plant operations.
• Train peers and junior team members on shared skillsets.
