Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Fort Worth, TX plant. The role focuses on maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with welding or machining experience a plus.

The technician will service equipment such as the Corrugator, EVOL, Flexo, Folder Gluer, conveyors, and related plant systems, ensuring minimal downtime and high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions in SOPs, management instructions, and other job-related instructions.
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures in an indoor manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machines and plant equipment, including Corrugator, Flexo, EVO, Folder Gluer, conveyors, boilers, fans and motors.
• Move equipment and machinery and monitor boiler operation with minor corrections.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and housekeeping in maintenance areas.
• Report major concerns to Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
