Job summary

JLL in Lake Orion, MI is seeking an Electrician for the 3rd shift to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems across large manufacturing facilities. The role emphasizes safe operation, preventive maintenance, and timely response to facility needs while collaborating with maintenance teams and client operations.

The ideal candidate brings a high school diploma, two years of electrical trade training, and hands-on experience with industrial electrical equipment, blueprints, and CMMS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state equivalent required.
• Two years of electrical trade schooling or equivalent training.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/instrumentation/control systems in industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Familiarity with safety codes and on-site safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/instrumentation/control building equipment and systems in large manufacturing facilities.
• Plan and execute installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical apparatus and power distribution systems.
• Diagnose wiring issues by reading blueprints and schematics; ensure correct operation of motors and equipment.
• Proactively identify potential problems to maintain facility uptime and safety.
• Document work in CMMS with hours and completion details by deadlines.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and client operations on safe approaches to work.
• Keep work area safe, clean, and compliant with regulations.
