Job summary

Ideal Tridon is seeking a Header Operator for the 3rd shift in Smyrna, TN. The role involves setting up and operating header, slotter, and thread-roller machines to manufacture fasteners and precision metal components.

You will configure tooling, load materials, program controls, monitor processes, perform inspections, and ensure quality. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and hands-on mechanical experience.
• 1–2 years of machine setup/operation experience or related hands-on mechanical experience.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and use calipers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure header, slotter, and thread roller machines per specifications and instructions.
• Load raw materials and adjust feeds and cutters for proper dimensions.
• Program and adjust machine controls for correct dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.
• Monitor production processes and machine operation to maintain quality and prevent malfunctions.
• Conduct test runs and inspections to verify setups and product quality before full production.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping of machinery.
• Record production data in logs or computerized systems.
• Follow safety protocols and SOPs.
