Job summary

Smalley Steel Ring Company in Lake Zurich, IL is hiring for a full-time position on the 3rd shift in a manufacturing setting. The role involves identifying shortages, organizing gauges, inventory counts, and ensuring safe storage, with hourly pay between $17.50 and $19.00.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and English proficiency, and the ability to read drawings and use hand and measuring tools. Experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing or related environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude including ability to read drawings, utilize hand tools and measuring tools, etc.
• Understanding of Tool Room terminology.
• Pass required exam of basic math and English.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports shortages, damaged, or lost gauges.
• Assigns or checks out gauges as needed, checks in and stores incoming gauges, and ensures all is stored safely.
• Completes physical inventory counts, reports shortages, and reorders stock as needed.

A reasonable estimate of the base hourly range for this role is $17.50 - $19.00 per hour USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. This role is bonus/and or incentive eligible.
