Job summary

Tyson Foods in Amherst, OH is hiring a Food Production - Sanitation Worker on the 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) for full-time employment. Overtime may be required and the position starts at $20.85 per hour with a shift differential.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and adhering to safety, GMP and SQF standards. Applicants must be able to work in hot or cold environments and lift up to 40 pounds when required.

Responsibilities

• Cover motors, electrical plugs, and all computer equipment.
• Clean up excess waste on the floors.
• Use a pressure hose to spray down all equipment.
• Scour all equipment with a scouring pad and/or chemicals are required.
• Sanitize equipment and areas with disinfectant, and oil when done.
• Cleaning of lights, pipes, walls, refrigeration units, etc.
• Handle and distribute cleaning chemicals and record data.
• Perform any other work as assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF Requirements.
