Job summary

JLL in Detroit is seeking an Operations Manager to lead facility operations and staff, including third shift supervision (Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM), ensuring reliable performance of critical building systems and safety programs.

You will manage budgets, generate reports, conduct performance reviews, and drive client relationships. This role requires strong leadership of hourly technicians, excellent communication, and adherence to client standards across the site.

Qualifications

• 3 years of trade or engineering experience.
• Strong communication and administrative skills.
• Experience as a people manager of hourly technicians.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to use web-based applications and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership for operations and maintenance of facility systems.
• Develop and manage budgets and prepare reports.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage team performance.
• Handle time approvals and establish goal setting for the team.
• Ensure contract compliance and oversee the Engineering compliance program.
• Collaborate with clients and internal resources to problem-solve and support the team.
