Job summary

JLL is seeking a 2nd Shift Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations across multiple disciplines at sites in Michigan. You will supervise mechanics, coordinate work activities, and ensure compliance with engineering standards while maintaining high-quality facility operations.

The role requires 5+ years of maintenance and supervisory experience, familiarity with union-represented staff, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years facility/plant engineering maintenance experience.
• 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Experience managing represented (union) employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanics responding to maintenance issues across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, landscape services, and building systems.
• Organize and direct daily facilities maintenance operations and projects.
• Collaborate with Facilities Manager to establish work schedules, assignments, and material procurement.
• Coordinate daily work activities for technicians, ensuring quality and timely completion.
• Partner with global organization on Engineering Compliance requirements and conduct field checks.
• Orient, train, and develop employees; establish performance standards and conduct evaluations.
• Develop cost estimates for maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance, and construction projects.
• Establish and maintain facilities maintenance department budget.
• Interact with stakeholders to coordinate work and communicate project details.
