Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Dayton, NJ seeks a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift (10pm-6am) to safely set up and run a flexographic press. You will perform make-ready, install rollers, plates, inks and dies, and keep the workspace clean and organized.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience, color vision tests, basic math and computer skills, and good attendance. Overtime may be required; a drug screen applies after offer and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related experience.
• Read and understand safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Color vision and color hue tests required.
• Basic arithmetic and reading comprehension.
• Proficient use of hand tools and basic computer skills.
• Good attendance and willingness to overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, maintain and operate a flexographic press.
• Conduct make ready by installing rollers, plates, inks and dies.
• Clean, lubricate and adjust equipment to maintain quality.
• Notify supervision of repairs or parts needs.
• Deliver finished material to correct areas and keep area safe and tidy.
• Assist with other printing processes and training as assigned.
• Follow LEAN principles and contribute to continuous improvement.
