Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Flexographic Press Operator for 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 11pm-7am) in Greensboro, NC. The role focuses on setting up, adjusting, and operating a flexographic press to ensure high-quality print production while following LEAN principles and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of related experience, basic math and reading skills, and the ability to work overtime during peak periods. Training and team collaboration are key parts of the position.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Proficient use of hand tools.
• Good attendance and reliability.
• Overtime may be required during busy periods.
• Ability to perform all essential functions with/without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, maintain and operate a flexographic press.
• Perform make ready by installing rollers, plates, inks, and dies with necessary adjustments.
• Clean, lubricate and maintain equipment for quality production.
• Notify supervision of repairs or replacement parts.
• Deliver finished material to proper manufacturing areas.
• Adhere to LEAN Principles and focus on quality and efficiency.
• Assist with other printing processes and training as directed.
• Work with other departments on projects and validations.
