Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Dayton, NJ, is seeking a Converting Utility on 3rd shift (10pm–6am) to support manufacturing, run equipment, perform quality checks, set up materials and keep a clean, safe workspace.

Ideal candidates have machine operator experience in high‑volume manufacturing, at least 2 years in the last 5 years, strong computer skills, and a solid safety record; overtime and weekend work may be required. Starting rate is $23.53/hour with benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must have Machine Operator experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience in the last 5 years.
• Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions and other duties as assigned.
• Must possess strong computer skills and apply use of technology in the workplace.
• Comply with all safety regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Possess excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Ability to navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend and kneel throughout the entire shift.
• Available to work 3rd shift (10 pm - 6 am) with frequent overtime up to 4 hours daily.
