Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Company in Dayton, NJ is seeking a Machine Operator for 3rd shift (10pm-6am). Overtime up to 4 hours daily is common, with weekend and holiday availability necessary. You will support manufacturing areas, perform quality checks and maintain a clean workspace.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of manufacturing experience, the ability to read a tape measure, basic math, and strong safety records. Training is provided and opportunities exist to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Must have Machine Operator experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience in the last 5 years.
• Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions and other duties as assigned.
• Must possess strong computer skills and apply use of technology in the workplace.
• Comply with all safety regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Possess excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to read a tape measure and effectively basic math
• Ability to navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend and kneel thorough the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform a wide range of tasks supporting the manufacturing areas, production, conducting quality checks, material set-up, and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Support manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery.
• Maintain safety, quality and efficiency on the production floor.
