Eaton is hiring a Coil Winder for the 3rd shift at its Nacogdoches, TX facility. The role uses a computer-controlled winding machine to set up, wind, and insulate transformer coils, with overtime possible. The position pays $21.00 per hour plus a $1.35 shift differential.

The job includes setting up equipment, verifying specifications, labeling, safety procedures, and operating measuring tools. Benefits are offered and candidates within 50 miles are preferred.

Qualifications

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
• Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Nacogdoches, TX facility will be considered.
• Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.
• Preferred: previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Use defined procedures and a computer-controlled coil winding machine to set up, wind, and insulate transformer coils.
• Identify coil part numbers from tickets and input numbers on the machine during setup.
• Interpret winding specifications and set up the machine accordingly.
• Install and adjust devices to meet window sizing specifications and load components as required.
• Measure materials, make adjustments, and verify alignment.
• Label coils with IDs, work order, part, and machine numbers.
• Operate measuring tools and perform rework to meet quality standards.
• Maintain normal upkeep of winding machines and follow safety protocols including LOTO.
• Oversee safe crane operations and participate in problem-solving for efficiency and quality.
