Job summary

CORRIGAN OIL CO. is seeking a diligent shift associate to operate our store efficiently under company policy. This role focuses on accurate transactions, customer service, and maintaining a clean, stocked environment to help increase profitability.

Key duties include handling cash, stocking shelves and coolers, performing routine cleaning, and adhering to safety and attendance standards while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and understand English at an eighth-grade level.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations at an eighth-grade level.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer transactions with a positive attitude.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and ice machine.
• Sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, and manage trash.
• Clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the store.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Operate in a constant state of alertness.

Position Description:

Job Overview:

Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of his or her shift, within company policy, in such a manner as to ensure that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to:

• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level in order to be able to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers of a variety of products during vendor check in
• Ability to stock shelves, coolers, and ice machine
• Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning materials
• Ability to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, lift and carry trash containers and place in an outside bin
• Ability to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the convenience store
• Manage customer transactions with a positive attitude
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to enter and work in a cooler at a temp of 40 degrees for up to 30 minutes at a time
• Ability to occasionally work alone
• Ability to handle high levels of stress
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness

Qualifications/Experience/Education

• Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language at an eighth-grade level
• Must be at least 18 years of age
