Job summary

Cranberry Park Senior Living Facility in West Bloomfield is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide critical support to residents, including assistance with daily activities and medication administration.

The role offers room for growth, paid time off, paid orientation and training, and full-time benefits after meeting hours. You will also attend orientation to excel in your role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver’s license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with daily living activities such as transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting and walking.
• Keep environment clean with light housekeeping.
• Follow safety and health standards, including infection control.
• Monitor residents condition and report changes to supervisor.
• Assist with meal trays and eating.
• Respond to call lights and assess residents needs promptly.
• Document medications accurately.
• Support other team members as needed.
• Attend orientation and training to excel in the role.

Responsibilities:

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
