Job summary

Bridgeway Park Blissfield Senior Living Facility in Blissfield is seeking a part-time Med Tech to support residents with daily living tasks and medication administration. You will work the 10pm to 6am shift, provide compassionate care, monitor residents, and document care plans while following safety and infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• Pass a criminal background check is required.
• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Experience in medication administration and working with seniors.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability to work every other weekend is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, walking).
• Administering medications and injections per physician orders and chart documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of the environment and perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Monitor residents for changes and report to supervisor.
• Assist with meal trays and feeding as needed.
• Respond to call lights and address resident needs promptly.
• Support team members with duties as necessary.

Part-time, 10pm - 6am

As a Med Tech you will be in charge of:

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders recorded in medical charts
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
