Job summary

Bridgeway Park Canton Senior Living Facility is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support residents with daily activities and basic medical tasks. You will provide compassionate help, monitor health, and ensure a safe, clean living environment.

Training, orientation, and career growth are provided as part of our supportive team. We welcome applicants who can pass a background check, lift up to 50 pounds, and commit to every weekend shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing).
• Maintain cleanliness and perform light housekeeping.
• Follow infection control and safety policies.
• Monitor residents and report changes to supervisor.
• Assist with meal trays and feeding.
• Document medications accurately.
• Respond to call lights and assess needs promptly.
• Support team members as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents' conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly is
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver's license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.
