Job summary

Bridgeway Park Battle Creek Senior Living Facility is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities, monitor changes in health, assist with meals, and help keep a safe, clean environment. You will receive thorough orientation and training to excel in your role.

Requirements include being 18+, a HS diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 pounds, reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.

• Experience working with the elderly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility).
• Maintain a clean environment and light housekeeping as needed.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes to supervisor.
• Assist with meals and respond to call lights promptly.
• Document medications accurately and adhere to procedures.
• Support team members as needed and arrive on time for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
