Job summary

Cranberry Park Senior Living Facility in West Bloomfield is looking for a dedicated Med Tech to join our team. You will assist residents with daily living activities, administer medications, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

We offer paid orientation and training, medical/dental/vision benefits for full-time staff, room for growth, and employee recognition events. A background check, 18+ age, and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• Pass a criminal background check.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Experience in medication administration and working with seniors.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility).
• Administer medications and injections per physician orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment, including light housekeeping tasks.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
• Monitor residents for condition changes and report them to the supervisor.
• Assist with meal trays and feeding as needed.
• Respond to call lights and promptly address resident needs.

As Med Tech you will be in charge of:

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders recorded in medical charts
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
