Job summary

Bridgeway Park Canton Senior Living Facility is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support residents with daily activities, monitor wellbeing, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, meals, medications documentation, and communicating changes to supervisors. Requirements: 18+, HS diploma or GED, background check, ability to lift 50 lbs, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver's license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents' conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
