Job summary

Yarde Metals, Inc. is seeking a Bar Saw Operator for the 3rd shift in Southington, CT. You will set up and safely operate bar saws to cut customer orders, following strict safety and quality guidelines.

The role requires forklift experience, strong reading of measurement tools, and the ability to work with precision under minimal supervision. Overtime may be required and full-time benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Requires operating heavy machinery safely.
• Warehouse, material handling, and forklift experience required.
• Basic arithmetic skills for decimals and fractions.
• Ability to read and understand measurement tools (ruler, caliper).
• Must read, understand, and follow English work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety first while operating the bar saw.
• Organize work orders for efficient material processing.
• Transport material using forklifts and cranes.
• Set up machines by selecting nozzles and adjusting speeds/feeds.
• Measure material with calipers and tape measures.
• Inspect material per quality plan (first piece, in-process, final).
• Stack, package, and protect finished products for shipment.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as directed.
